We invite You to the State Museum of architecture named after A. V. Shchusev on the Permanent exhibition "The Cabinet of David".

David Sargsyan had been ruling the State Museum of architecture named after A. V. Shchusev from 2000 to 2009. During this time, the former Talyzin manor became an important exhibition space and the Museum became the mainstay of the struggle for the preservation of architectural heritage. His office David was inhabited by an incredible number of different objects, creating extraordinary creative space, which became a kind of self – portrait of this extraordinary man.
After David died, the Museum staff, his family and friends decided to keep this account, recreating it here, in the wing "Ruin", the exhibition space created by David.
In 2010, virtual installation of the Cabinet was presented at the Venice architecture Biennale.
With the consent of Osanna Sargsyan, sister of David, objects, filling Cabinet, were transferred to the Museum for a permanent memorial exhibition. They relocated here in the same order that was in office during the life of David. This installation is not an exact copy of the Cabinet, and his image, and reflecting the personality of David Sargsyan, and vibrant decade of life Museum under him.
