29 September 2015 - 30 November 2015
We Invite You to the Gallery Stella Art Foundation 30.09.2015 to the exhibition "The Stationmaster" in the framework of the special programme of the VI Moscow Biennale of contemporary art.
The exhibition will be opened for visitors since 30.09.2015 till 30.11.2015.
The artists of the group "Cupid" say "All our projects are built on the principle of "The Swan, crayfish and pike": we collide in one installation associated models of art and different ways to understand art. From this collision of new meanings, of which there can be in our individual work. In the new exhibition we use the metaphor of art as the Metropolitan, in which artistic ideas are worn with incredible speed, jumping from branch to branch currents and directions. The exhibition is constructed as a hub station where you can switch from one understanding of art to another. The idea of co – supervisors as we face and changes how the particles in the accelerator, turn into a new wondrous items. On the other hand, this process can be seen as Purgatory for some ideas go to Heaven/Museum, and some of them are forgotten."
Without revealing the many attractions harvested "Cupid" to the public, only to announce that the metro – something like a compact of the multiverse, the worlds amount invested in a single exhibition space. This plurality, I suppose, is the result of an action claimed by the artists of the "principle of a Swan, cancer and pike". It is revealed not only in the group authorship of "Cupid" or the quirkiness of the space of the installation, but also in any of its objects. As source artists get well-known subjects, which, falling into the installation environment, mutate into something incomprehensible, not very clear or understandable, but completely unexpected in its hybrid form.
It is possible to tell and differently: to move from world to world in the latest version kupyanskoe multi – universe is not only moving physically on the installation. One need only look at any of the filling objects, and you're not where you just were. At first it seemed that you are dealing with a Swan, but it soon becomes clear that the Swan also and cancer, but if you look closely, and pike. Then everyone has the opportunity to ensure that Moscow conceptualism today – not only "work with language", but also with the world. And in fact, he's already fighting around the world.
Creative Association "Cupid" was created by three veterans of the Moscow conceptualism Yury Albert, Victor Skersis and Andrei Filippov in 2008. During its existence the association has implemented five large-scale exhibition projects: Victor Zayzcev. Fragma, Pragma, Enigma. T/o "Cupid" (Project_Factory, Moscow, 2008); Show and Tell: Omut.
