31 May 2015 - 5 September 2015
Club – Studio "Doll Collection" of Elena Gromova invites from 01.06.2015 – 05.09.2015 at the exhibition of felt sculpture by Irina Andreeva "Nodules in memory"
"Nodules in memory" – the author's project of the artist Irina Andreeva created in the technique of "wet felting". Touching stories recreate the world of childhood, the world of the summer, the world of Grandma's village.
Recreated in the felt images like black – white photographs of something long forgotten, but remains deep inside. Memories of an adult – the child experiences – like matted in a tangle a single world of the individual simple but bright moments. In it there are touching of the rural interior of the grandmother's house with long striped rug and a quavering washstand; and currant bushes in a small window aperture, behind simple curtains; and oven with dried raspberry on the lockers and hot shangi – cakes reflecting in the old samovar; a dog in a box on a chain, stupid chickens with strutted gallant cock and lambing cat in the attic; poignant moments of acquaintance with nettles – on ankles, with burrs in long braids.
Every detail is important! The joy of their recognition helps to plunge into the world of childhood! Once again experienced, and perhaps long-forgotten moments help us once again feel ourselves real …
Plots are freely located in space. In the exposition there is no definitely constructed sequence. Here, the viewer is not an observer, he is a participant in the process.
"Nodules in the memory" – a declaration of love and gratitude to Grandmother, Childhood, Countryside!
This is the story, told by the author, though it is deeply personal, but every time turns out close and understandable to everyone.
