The center of aesthetic education of children and youth "Museyon" is situated in the old manor estate, which is a monument of architecture of the late XVIII – early XX century.
In ancient times it was a quarter of the white city, from the XIV century called Certallum. In the XVI century this area belonged to the extensive possessions of the Tsar's stables. Here, in the vicinity of the Kreml, settled by Moscow's elite: nobles, okolnichy, steward. It is known that the territory of present center in the XVII century was part of the yard of P. D. Skuratov, and in the XVII century this part, a semicircle covering the Church of St. Antipas, came into the possession of the family Miloslavskys.
Changed owners, the buildings were sorted out because of decay, suffered in the fires. Its present appearance is the main house of the estate and the Park was acquired after the fire of 1812. The actual state Councilor of P. I. Glebov, friend of Pushkin family, godfather of their third son, Leo, was built to 1817 wooden Empire style mansion and smashed the Park. Behind the house Glebova remained economic structure, perhaps even the eighteenth century, another building, right, appeared in 1820. Later the estate passed to other owners.
In 1913 and 1914 S. N. The shepherds on the left side of the old building made of a two – storey stone building in the neoclassical style. The architect was N. C. Suzman. By this time, and the fence with graceful, art Nouveau, pillars, crowned with vases.
After the revolution of 1917, the building housed institutions. The entire ensemble with the surrounding garden is partly preserved, but to the 80-th years of the last century its buildings were dilapidated. For a long time they stood abandoned until they were transferred to the State Museum of fine arts named after A. S. Pushkin.
The Pushkin Museum named after A. S. Pushkin fully reconstructed decaying mansion, through the efforts of restorers still retains the charm of old Moscow architecture. It is the Center of aesthetic education of children and youth "Museion", equipped with the most modern equipment.
