Gallery “On Shabolovka” (ex. the exhibition hall “Zamoskvorechye”) in the Danilovsky district of Moscow, it was founded over 20 years ago on the basis of the creative Association “Moskvorechie” in the centre of Hasco – Build housing estate, designed in the late 1920-ies by architects – N. Trainim and B. Blokhin.
Originally, this area was conceived as a hymn to the new post – revolutionary Moscow. Here and today still retains many monuments of constructivism, for example, next to the gallery “On Shabolovka” is a world famous masterpiece of architecture of the XX century – the radio tower of the engineer – Vladimir Shukhov.
Since 1991 the gallery has organized and conducted more than 600 art exhibitions in Moscow and other Russian cities and abroad.
The gallery is planning to participate actively in network projects, uniting under a single exhibition ideas gallery different areas of Moscow. One of the accents of projects are dedicated to the avant – garde, as well as local history projects related to the comprehension of the cultural heritage of Danilovsky district and its popularization.
