After the fire in 1812 Moscow was rebuilt. In 1819, Pelagia V. Ketscher has acquired a place on the Old Basmannaya.
In the residential book of Basmannaya part 1822 – 1824 years in the column whose “imyanno houses” constructed which the number of months and stated that Ketscher house rebuilt in 1820, the date of 16 November. Wooden house on a stone foundation in a small city mansion was built by one of the “model of fronts,” with typical plan, it had the entrance from the courtyard and intermediate floors in the back half of the building. The house is adjacent with plot with garden and outbuildings.
In 1824 V. Pushkin hired a house of P. Ketscher on the Old Basmannaya. In the Central Historical Archive in Moscow is still kept unpublished document about hiring home of Ketscher by V. Pushkin, dated 28 August 1824 in which he said: “I the undersigned Collegiate Assessor – Vasily Pushkin gave these condition to titular counselor Mrs. Pelagia Ketcher is that I have hired for residence wooden house on a stone foundation with all accessories such as – large wits entresols housing, human fligels with stables, coach house and cellar, held in Moscow on Basmannaya , the number 238. “
