We won – it is not a meme about victory in the sense in which it takes our everyman, but the victory of feelings over the limits and the conquest by the mind of new spaces of knowledge. In the long run this is an ode to emancipation of the spirit. This victory became possible thanks to the total expansion of postmodern practices in all the spheres of life. Geographic, economic, political, social. The most significant part of this victory lies in the fact that with such a volume transformation of the material world, the most profound change undergone psycho physiological world of man. In terms of increasing knowledge about this world is extremely interesting, not confronting with units of Guy Debord, to perform drifts rather than on the urban environment, as on its psycho geographical labyrinths, acquiring contextual and time values through the works of individual authors
Presentation of Andrei Yegorov – artist from Nizhny Novgorod held within the framework of the open discourse system of "Russian psycho geographical society," declared 9 of November 2014 by project of Lisa Savolainen. "The City."
The exhibition presents the work of the last 20 years: "Red kennel," "Bathing the Red Cat", "Gagarin's smile", "Death of Kalashnikov", "Brides of Christ", «Someone's skull", "Stabbed sausage", "Girl, poking nose ", "Scratch ass" and others.
Artist Andrei Egorov first exhibited his work in the late eighties, and even then with great precision was manifested his artistic way of speaking. Flashy colors and candidly rude stories are woven in his works with a gentle lyricism and subtle philosophy of learning the world. This duality in the future leads to greater separation of the artistic process: part of the artist's works – is an aesthetic painting, the other part – extreme collage, in which there are no rules, norms and prohibitions. Works are enriched by numerous materials and found objects, are used all kinds of fabrics, vintage frame, trim of hardboard and scraps of wallpaper in symbiosis with the Italian oil, Chinese ink and watercolor paper. In some works found object is isolated and in its own loneliness repainted, transformed in a work of art. In other works, on the contrary old thing cohabiting with others in a combined painting that is committed to the possibility of its emancipation. In addition, the artist continues to experiment, creating objects, installations, conceptual photography and literary texts.
