The gallery "Belyaevo" was opened in 1988, and entered to the history of Russian fine art as the site of the first exhibitions of Soviet non – conformist artists: Ernst Neizvestny, Oscar Rabin, Edward Steinberg, Eugene Krapivnitskogo. The gallery was in constant search of new forms and possibilities for the realization of a bold artistic ideas and innovative synthetic projects.
Today the gallery "Belyaevo" is a multi cultural and educational center, a generator of different artistic and educational practices. There is an educational center on based of gallery for the arts, a design Studio and art boutique, there are music programmes, theater and performances.
Each year the gallery "Belyaevo" installed over 20 exhibitions of Russian and foreign artists. The gallery is located in the place with the most interesting intangible heritage: near the gallery "Belyaevo" held a historic "Bulldozer exhibition"; here, Dmitry Prigov was living and working, one of the most prominent representatives of the Moscow conceptual school, etc. With this in mind, the exhibition strategy involves the implementation of art projects of conceptual art.
In September of 2013 to create a new culturally meaningful image region Belyaevo launched a joint forming project gallery "Belyaevo" and Strelka Press belyayevo forever / Belyayevo Forever", which was based on a study of the Polish architect Kuba Snopek. The implementation of this project will be the impetus for the development of local culture and will contribute to fundamental urban programme for the improvement of living conditions in the metropolis.
