Gostiny Dvor of Moscow – is one of the most beautiful architectural monuments of the capital – located in 150 meters from the Kremlin. History of Gostiny Dvor begins in the XIV century. At the end of the XVIII century by Catherine the Great, according to the project of the famous Italian architect Giacomo Quarenghi Gostiny Dvor rebuild in a single building of strong and elegant architecture, which becomes the new decoration of Moscow.
Since the end of 1995 under the leadership of Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov, Moscow City Government made the reconstruction of Gostiny Dvor, as a result of which it turned into a modern business, cultural and shopping center with all the necessary set of services equipped to international standards. Along with careful restoration of appearance of the building, and the full re-functional interior with modern engineering equipment in accordance with the concept of "intelligent building", the introduction of climate systems and air conditioning systems, creating opportunities for connecting electronic office equipment and management systems.
Uniqueness of Gostiny Dvor caused not exclusively to its location, but its eccentricity and artistic decisions. The complex appears peculiar link of times. Surrounded by stucco columns, arches classic style gaze presents a granite flooring, patio area of approximately 12,000 sq.m. It is covered of Europe's largest light unsupported translucent coating (covered town square is comparable in size and shape with the Venice Piazza San Marco in Italy).
