The foundation of culture "EKATERINA" was established in 2002 on the initiative of Ekaterina and Vladimir Semenikhin.
The foundation's work is carried out in several areas, exhibition and publishing, creating a collection of contemporary art, support cultural and educational projects.
In February 2007, opened the first private exhibition space in Moscow – the halls of the foundation of culture "EKATERINA" on the Kuznetsk bridge.
Since the Foundation of the culture Foundation "EKATERINA" actively cooperates with state museums, art centers, foundations and other institutions, both in Russia and abroad.
An important component of the exhibition programme of the foundation is to introduce the Russian audience with contemporary Russian and foreign art.
A special attention is also paid to the implementation of the publishing program. As part of the exhibitions held in the fund it issued a number of unique monographic catalogs and albums.
