

The farmstead of Kuskovo is a unique monument of art culture of XVIII century and is located in Moscow. Luxury summer residence of counts Sheremetyevs, arranged with "innumerable multitude of pleasures and amenities", was intended for magnificent receptions, crowded theatrical festivals and festivities. To survived more than 20 unique monuments of architecture, among which are the Palace, Grotto, Big Stone Greenhouse, ancient Church, etc. Landmark manor is a well preserved French regular Park with marble sculpture, ponds and original pavilions. The centre of ensemble is the Palace, which retains the layout and decoration of interiors, consisting of many works of Russian and Western European art; a unique collection of paintings of XVIII century, dedicatory portraits of Russian emperors and several generations of owners of the manor Sheremetev.
In 1919, the estate received the status of a State Museum and since 1938 it has been United with the Museum of ceramics, only in Russia, today it is one of the world's largest owners of specialized collections of ceramics has expired of different countries from antiquity to modern times. It harbors more than 30,000 works of Russian and foreign art: remarkable examples of Italian majolica, Venetian, English and Russian glass, Meissen, Sevres and Eastern porcelain. A special pride of the Museum are the unique collection of Russian porcelain from Russian factories starting with the XVIII century. Every year the museum organises 3 to 4 exhibitions a stationary stock. In the summer in the ballroom of the Palace concerts and music festivals with the participation of Russian and foreign performers.
