The exhibition continues the new tradition Galerie Iragui involvement of artists in intercultural dialogue, this time Russian artist Ivan Razumov and Norwegian artist Per Dyuvbiga.
The second title of the exhibition Carte-blanche to Simon Mraz, since once gallery invites external curator who chooses artists and offers his vision. Simon Mraz, cultural attache of the Austrian Embassy in Moscow, Moscow known for its art projects.
Per Dyubvig documented his life in Moscow, when he was in residence MMAM. His work has been published Christine Koenig Gallery in a book "The Moscow Drawing Book", the first presentation took place in Moscow.
Ivan Razumov for the first time opens the viewer his personal albums with sketches. Ivan Razumov not by chance compared with the U.S. schedule Raymond Pettibon – he is well known for his graphic works primarily with well-aimed and witty illustrations of books Mayakovsky and Pushkin, Sei-Senagon and Matsuo Basho, and Pepperstein Kuritsyna.
In his works the artist near Moscow postconceptional psychedelic tradition of realism. At different periods of his artistic career, Ivan Razumov actively collaborated with a variety of intellectual and artistic projects – Medical Hermeneutics, Fenso, Cabinet, N.G., Krovostok. According to Viktor Mazin: "His work is not only prohibitively refined technique, a deep knowledge of artistic tradition, but also an incredible sensitivity to current events."
Approach and look two artists are very different, as a foreigner may be different view of the city from the view of someone who spent his whole life there. On the other hand, the authors combines the intimacy of their choice of format, elegance graphic lines, visual perception of everyday life, independent personality of the artist.
In recent decades, images of pleasure turns into plantation images. Ubiquitous phones with cameras and digital cameras documenting even the most trivial aspects of human existence. It has long been talking about the famous "instant" Cartier – Bresson, expressed through visual expression of the essence of social contrasts.
Rather, it is an incredible scale mapping project , an attempt to permanent fixation of the outside world , carried out by millions of people who are obliged to assert their own "here being" under the motto " I photograph , therefore I exist " through continuous documentation of everything that surrounds them. So there are heaps of images that spread via Facebook and other social networks , but basically all the same flock , nobody visible on computer hard drives , and the absence of these images is experienced more intensely visual as phantom pain .
Forcible imposition of images contrasts serials banal idea of excellence in visual image created by the artist – visual sign of our times. The ultimate goal then becomes a life that did not lead to stress testing existential challenges in their ontological depth, but to give reasons to document everything that happens, and as such does not need anyone's interest.
And here comes into play artist Per Dyubvig. With knowledge of the above circumstances, it nevertheless represents an alternative program. First of all, in their urban diaries devoted Vienna and Moscow, he is trying to delay the appearance of visual characteristics.
Dyubvig – a gifted draftsman, instantly grasping nature, but he opposes encyclopedic obsession documenting against global machine for the production of images, and expresses its choice in favor of slowing down, details, light bar outline that even describing the sociological and geographical contour leaves untouched and mysterious essence of man in all its manifestations and simultaneity in continuous stratification events.
