We invite You to the State Tretyakov gallery in Lavrushinsky Pereylok 30.10.2015 to the exhibition "Materials and techniques of printmaking. Xylography" in the framework of the programme of Tretyakov gallery is opened its storeroom.
The exhibition will be opened for visitors since 30.10.2015 till 15.05.2016 year.
The exhibition is devoted to the peculiarities of the most ancient and to the present time current print technology – print on wood, or woodcuts. In the collection of the Tretyakov gallery allows you to identify the main historical milestones in the development of this technology in Russia and abroad. The exhibition will be presented the earliest in the collection Gallery samples – medieval Japanese prints, samples of European woodcuts, the Russian gospel Roots, popular prints and famous specimens of original woodcut artists of the twentieth century.
