CSI "SOKOL" was established by the Institute of Contemporary Art (RPNS) and noncommercial organization, "International Projects 21" in July 2013. The mission of CSI "SOKOL" – to provide a platform for expressing to young artists and curators, with the ability to implement projects in a professional manner.
"In March 2014 in the center were opened the art studios. So, to date, CSI" Sokol "is a unique non-profit organization that brings together under one roof the exhibition space, studios for artists and educational center."
CSI SOKOL – a platform for sayings of young Russian and international curators, including exhibitions, conferences, discussions, lectures and master classes. CSI activity will promote the further development of dialogue between representatives of the artistic environment and society.
As part of the CSI SOKOL also scheduled publishing program. Publishing program will be a part of the forum of curatorial initiatives and exhibition projects. In September 2013CSI Sokol presented one of the projects of the Special Programme of the 5 th Moscow Biennale "Playing with nature."
CSI SOKOL is located in the business center of Moscow – Sokol. In the next three years in the north-western district of Moscow will be a new art-cluster, which will include independent private and public institutions.
