Center of Photography Lumiere brothers opened on 2 March 2010 in the former confectionery factory “Red October” – the new center of the cultural life of the capital, the fashionable art spaces, where close to the main attractions of Moscow – the Kremlin and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior – are located galleries, design studios , clubs and restaurants.
The center covers more than 1,000 square meters. meters of the old mansion on Bolotnaya embankment, the facade of which looks at the Moscow River.
In addition to the three exhibition halls at the Centre has a lecture hall, a library and a bookstore.
Three spacious exhibition hall can expose more than 400 photographs.
The center operates an open library, whose mission – to collect all the best books on photography over the past 80 years.

The decision to establish the Centre took the owners ‘galleries Lumiere Brothers’ Natalia Grigorieva and Edward Litvinsky. “We need institutions that allow seriously address the legacy of the Russian and Soviet photography: show it at a high level, museum, collecting material for his study, publish books, photo albums, photo popularize, attracting renowned practitioners and academics to conduct master classes and lectures.

Center of Photography Lumiere brothers – a platform designed to work with professional photographers, photographic collections, photo exhibitions and galleries of photographs.
