The territory of “Izmailovo” is part of the Moscow state integrated art and historical-architectural and natural landscape Museum – reserve.
Modern Izmailovo – locality in the East of Moscow between the Shchelkovo shosse (former Stromynka street) and shosse Entuziastov (former Tract). Its Northern part is built multi-storey houses, and in the South is Izmaylovsky forest is the largest green area in the capital.
In 2007, this unique complex of architectural monuments became a part of Moscow state United Museum-reserve.
The Izmailovo the island is preserved: – from the XVIIth century: the Bridge tower (1671 – 1679), Pokrovsky Cathedral (1671 – 1679), Front and Rear entrance gate (1679 – 1682); – from the XIX century: stone buildings Nikolaev Izmailovskaya poorhouse, some of which were partly reconstructed in the 20 – ies of the last century.
