The museum of archeology of Moscow, located in an underground pavilion at the depth of 7 meters in the historical center of city, directly on the large-scale archaeological excavations since 1993 till 1996, gives an idea of the medieval capital, the history of the area Manezhnaya Square, provides an overview of the methodology of archaeological research. The museum represents the material culture of Moscow and the Moscow region from the Paleolithic to the XIX century. The basis of exposition are found during excavations of the foundations of the Voskresensky bridge, XVII – XVIII centuries., which in past connected the two banks of the Neglinnaya River.
