National Museum of A. S. Pushkin

National Museum of A. S. Pushkin today is one of the leading cultural centers of Moscow and Russia. In addition to the head of the Museum, GMP consists of five branches: the Memorial apartment of A. S. Pushkin on the Arbat, Memorial apartment A. White on the Arbat, the Museum of I. S. Turgenev on Ostozhenka, the House – Museum of C. L. Pushkin on Staraya Basmannaya and Exhibition halls in the Cash lane. The main Museum complex is located in a remarkable architectural monument of the beginning of XIX century the city to the noble estate of Khrushchev – Seleznyov on a street of Prechistenka 12/2.

In an historic mansion housed a permanent exhibition “Pushkin and his age” and “Pushkin’s fairy Tales”, exhibition halls, reading room, concert and conference halls. Here, on Prechistenka, there are the museum with Outdoor storage of rare books, paintings, drawings and miniature portraits of the XVIII – XIX centuries, porcelain, bronze, art glass and ceramics, genealogical materials. Opening storage of GMP are also unique private collections donated by the Moscow museum of A. S. Pushkin “The Library of Russian poetry I. N. Rozanov”, “Collection of P. V. Gubar”, “The Cabinet of T. A. Mavrina and N. V. Kuzmin”, “The Cabinet of drawings Nadi Rosheway”. For large – scale cultural events are designed Atrium.It is covered by a glass dome manor courtyard, bringing together in a single space structure of the museum complex in 1999, for the 200-th anniversary of A. S. Pushkin.
