The Exhibition Association “Central House of Artist” is the largest Russian exhibition center, it was opened in November 1979.
CHA (Central House of Artists) is a unique phenomenon in the cultural life of the capital, where the abundance of visitors, everyone finds his spiritual solitude, or, on the contrary, community and kinship. Spacious and welcoming interiors CHA, filled with an atmosphere of creativity, spiritual and material culture, has always been a favorite place for meeting and socialising with people of any age group.
Since the mid 80-ies in the halls of the Central House of Artists was shown a sensational series of exhibitions of foreign artists – Cartier Bresson (France), Gunther Ucker (Germany), Francis Bacon (England), Giorgo Morandi and Yannis Kunellis (Italy), Robert Rauschenberg and James Rosenquist (USA), Salvador Dali (Spain), Jeanne Tangle (Switzerland), Yves Saint Laurent (France), Rufino Tamayo (Mexico), after which our Association has gained importance and popularity of the worldwide tribune of the fine arts.
The great interest of the audience enjoyed the exhibition from the museum collections of Russia and neighboring countries such artists as K. Petrov – Vodkin, Z. Serebryakova, A. Kuprin, A. Osmerkin, N. Krymov, A. Lentulov, V. Tatlin, artists whose names are included in the Golden Fund of Russian art.
The numerous exhibitions of Fund permanent storage CHA (Central House of Artists) was successfully carried out in several countries of Western Europe and America.
After the collapse of the Union of artists of the USSR and the formation of the International Confederation of unions of artists, Central House of Artists, not only managed to retain creative relationships with artists ‘ Union of the former republics, but also to establish cooperation with galleries of Moscow and other cities of Russia and the Baltic countries, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan.
The international Confederation of unions of artists were held four of the Moscow International art salon CHA (Central House of Artists) – 98, CHA (Central House of Artists) – 99, CHA (Central House of Artists) – 2000 and CHA (Central House of Artists) – 2001, which involved not only the ‘Union of Artists of the neighboring countries, but also the galleries of some European countries.
The friendships have established over 20 years with various foreign galleries and museums allow you to regularly exhibit in the Central House of Artists exhibition German, English, American, Swiss, Israeli, Italian artists.
In recent years a significant place in the exhibition activities of the CHA began to hold exhibitions of architecture, design, art, industrial products design, fashion, photography, advertising. These annual exhibitions and fairs as “Antique salon”, “Design and advertising”, “Architecture and design, Shop design, Ambience Russia” and “Non fiction” allow presenting the entire spectrum of contemporary art development in various fields. The concept of holding specialized exhibitions is that they primarily must match the profile and style of the CHA its artistic or humanitarian content.
At the same time with a large exhibition programme the CHA (Central House of Artists) provides entertaining activities, conducting screenings of new films, festivals, concerts, meetings with artists of theatre and cinema. As in any other exhibition complex, the CHA (Central House of Artists) has a restaurant, bar, billiard room where you can relax after long tours of the exhibitions.
